Good old fashioned adventure for the entire family…

Well, the 2021 adventure movie "Jungle Cruise" is a definite must watch movie if you enjoy movies that have Dwayne Johnson in it. I sat down to watch this 2021 Disney movie with a certain amount of expectations to it, since it was both a Disney movie, but also had Dwayne Johnson on the cast list. I think he is very well-cut, pardon the pun, for the adventure movie genre. And he doesn't disappoint in "Jungle Cruise", let me just say that right away. Yup, he is so well-cast for this movie and really carries it phenomenally with his performance and that particular character. The storyline told in "Jungle Cruise", as written by Michael Green, Glenn Ficarra, John Requa, John Norville, Josh Goldstein and Glenn Ficarra definitely was a very entertaining one. And it was the type of storyline that quickly picks you up from the very beginning and takes you along with it for quite the thrill ride throughout the jungle. I was expecting it to be good, but I must admit that the story actually turned out to be way more interesting and detailed than I had anticipated. Visually then "Jungle Cruise" is just spectacular. The jungle really offers a lot to look at, and just makes for a grand setting for the movie. But also things like the wardrobe, props, etc. Were really spot on and very detailed, adding a lot to the movie. The CGI in the movie was good, but of course with this being Disney, why wouldn't it be? And the jaguar pet really was a nice touch to the movie. "Jungle Cruise" definitely has a good cast. Of course Dwayne Johnson is the main attraction and he carries the movie so wonderfully. I wasn't initially thrilled about it being Emily Blunt to co-star alongside Dwayne Johnson, but she really put on a great performance and I liked her in this movie. It was really nice to see Paul Giamatti in the movie, and he had a wonderful character here, just a shame that he wasn't given more on-screen time. If you get the chance to watch director Jaume Collet-Serra's "Jungle Cruise", you must do so. Especially if you enjoy family movies and adventure movies. So if you enjoyed movies like "The Goonies", "Indiana Jones", "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island", etc. Then you most certainly will also enjoy "Jungle Cruise". This is a movie that I can warmly recommend you sit down to watch. I am rating "Jungle Cruise" a well-deserved seven out of ten stars.

Uno de los fallidos intentos para recomponer la imagen de Sara Montiel, en el ìque Bardem revisitó el espíritu de su entrañable "Cómicos". El fracaso del ìproyecto se debió a que la protagonista no daba en absoluto el tipo del ìpersonaje central y a que el peso de la acción se había subordinado a este ìpersonaje, siguiendo la tradición de los films al servicio de la estrella. ìAlgunos aciertos parciales no consiguieron salvar el conjunto. 

FILMAFFINITY 

Los esperpentos de Sara Varietés es una película extraordinariamente mala, nefasta en todos sus apartados. Aunque va firmada por Juan Antonio Bardem, quien suscribe no sólo el guión sino el argumento, es una película a mayor honra y gloria de Sara Montiel, Saritísima, y Bardem debió obedecer hasta la última orden y/o capricho de la diva. Están las tomas con flu de su boca húmeda y carnal, que debía volver locos a nuestros padres y abuelos, los diálogos cargados de segundas intenciones que hacen reír, los otros diálogos, pretendidamente trascendentes, que hacen llorar, el galán insufrible de turno, en este caso el melifluo Vicente Parra, inexpresivo como un caracol, la música de Gregorio García Segura, los boleros melodramáticos, los malvados empresarios rijosos y, por supuesto, como en Eva al desnudo, la starlette que acecha a la diva y espera pacientemente su oportunidad. Bardem dijo que era una puesta al día de su Cómicos, una película más que apreciable, pero estaba claro que sus días de gloria pertenecían al pasado. De hecho, a partir de Nunca pasa nada la carrera del director madrileño se precipitó hacia el abismo, del cual nunca más volvió a emerger. Una pena, pero así se escribe la historia. Sólo para fans enloquecidos de Saritísima. 

EL PAIS 

Histórico melodrama con canciones estructurado exclusivamente como vehículo para el lucimiento de la eterna Sara Montiel.La película fue realizada por Juan Antonio Bardem en 1972, por encargo de la actriz manchega. Sara Montiel acababa de pelearse con Jorge Grau en el filme Tuset Street y estaba cansada para entonces de repetirse siempre en los mismos papeles. La actriz de El último cuplé quería pertenecer al grupo de actrices comprometidas. Un Juan Antonio Bardem que ya no estaba tan apto para estas tareas como la que, varios lustros antes, nos ofreciera en su película Cómicos, convirtió este mismo filme, inspirado en las giras teatrales de sus propios padres, en un musical. Como pastel camp, tanto Sara Montiel como Varietés perdurarán siempre en la memoria de los espectadores españoles, y eso nunca es desdeñable.-

This is a lovestory you need to see! The forbitten story of two souls so deeply in love just makes you stop and hope, that nobody can never catch them in act. The storyline just makes you stop a heartbeat and fall into their challenges and dreams. Actors were really well chosen and ofcourse good to watch due do absolutely stunning appearances. The audenticity of Soviet Era was well played with all the machinery, buildings, outfits and hairstyles. Costume makers have brilliantly served the styles of this strict and conservative era. And ofcourse bonus points for such a important message to share with the world! Loved it!

Very soulful movie. I highly recommend it in moments of despair, when it' seems there is no meaning in life. But this meaning is in Love. Only Love gives wings and saves us, even in severe difficult conditions. Even in the conditions of a small lost military unit in the late Soviet Union. Roman and Sergei Love feeling is spontaneous, but it's true, sincere. When tears are running because of the possible death of a loved one, brave pilot. And when the soul rejoices from the consciousness that he is alive, and that you can just walk beside him or even observe him from afar. And it's enough for happiness. So this is a deep sensual movie, filled with the breath of life itself. Impeccable acting of an international team of actors. Great close-ups. Thanks to the great Tom Prior for this brilliant release.
